Shopify CRO Developer

💵 Compensation: USD $1,800–$2,300/month
🕒 Working Hours: 6 AM – 2 PM EST or at least 6 hours overlap within this window

We are a U.S.-based retailer specializing in home and industrial products — from air purifier filters and vacuum accessories to heavy-duty extension cords.

The company has grown into a $10M+ Amazon seller and is now scaling its direct-to-consumer Shopify channel. As part of this transition, we’re focused on rebuilding our online store for optimal conversion, speed, and user experience.

We are seeking a Shopify CRO Developer to lead the technical rebuild and conversion optimization of our Shopify storefront.

Your mission is to redesign and optimize the site for a modern, fast, and high-converting shopping experience — improving the conversion rate from 0.85% to 1.6%+ within 90 days.

• Audit and redesign key templates (Home, Collection, Product, Cart, Checkout)

• Improve site speed (target load time <2.5s) and eliminate unnecessary or heavy apps.

• Reduce checkout drop-offs and ensure seamless integration with payment options (Buy with Prime, Shop Pay, PayPal, etc.).

• Implement trust, urgency, and sticky Add-to-Cart optimizations.

• Set up and maintain GA4, Hotjar, and/or Microsoft Clarity for analytics and user behavior tracking.

• Report weekly on conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and checkout performance.

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify development and conversion rate optimization (CRO)

• Proficiency in Liquid, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of site speed, UX best practices, and responsive design.

• Proven experience improving checkout and mobile conversion rates.

• Fluent English and proactive communication skills.

• Experience with analytics and optimization tools such as GA4, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity.

• Familiarity with Shopify apps such as TinyIMG, Rebuy, Okendo, Bundler.

• Basic knowledge of Klaviyo for tracking and light setup.
