Web Developer

We are looking for a highly autonomous and technically strong Web Developer with 3–6+ years of experience to join a fast-growing, performance-driven digital agency.

This role is not for someone who relies on templates or drag-and-drop builders. We are looking for a developer who can build websites from scratch, fully understand the underlying code, and confidently handle both front-end and back-end development within WordPress.

You will work within a structured team environment where design, SEO strategy, and content are already defined, allowing you to focus on what matters most: building high-quality, performant, and secure websites.

This is a high-ownership role. We need someone who can take a project, run with it, solve problems independently, and deliver without constant handholding. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic agency environment and is excited to be part of a company scaling aggressively.

• Build custom WordPress websites from scratch, based on Figma designs provided by the design team

• Develop both front-end and back-end functionalities, including custom features, forms, and integrations

• Launch websites end-to-end, ensuring performance, security, and functionality are fully tested

• Manage site migrations across hosting platforms (e.g., WP Engine, Cloudways) with minimal downtime

• Troubleshoot and resolve hosting, server, and deployment issues independently

• Optimize website performance, including Core Web Vitals and load speed improvements

• Implement technical SEO best practices, including schema markup, site architecture, and crawlability improvements

• Ensure proper site structure, navigation, and click depth for optimal UX and SEO

• Apply on-page SEO fundamentals, including meta tags, image optimization, and structured content

• Collaborate with SEO and design teams, while also challenging decisions when needed based on best practices

• Set up and manage tracking systems (GTM, UTMs, pixels) to ensure accurate data collection

• Maintain and optimize WordPress environments, including plugin management (e.g., All-in-One SEO, MonsterInsights)

• Continuously identify and fix issues proactively without waiting for direction

• 3–6+ years of experience in web development, with strong focus on WordPress

• Proven ability to build websites from scratch (not just using builders like Elementor)

• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Experience with WPBakery (preferred), but not limited to builder usage

• Solid experience with hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine, Cloudways or similar)

• Experience with site migrations and server troubleshooting

• Strong understanding of technical SEO and web performance optimization

• Experience implementing Core Web Vitals improvements

• Familiarity with schema markup and structured data

• Understanding of UX/UI best practices and conversion-focused design

• Experience with tracking tools (GTM, UTMs, pixels)

• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions without constant guidance

• Strong English communication skills

• Experience with other CMS platforms (Webflow, Wix, etc.)

• Experience working in agency environments

• Familiarity with AI tools or automation workflows

• Basic design skills (image optimization, formatting, etc.)

• Experience working with data-driven SEO teams
