📊Overview

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the company's operational accounting function and month-end close process. Reporting directly to a fractional CFO, this individual will serve as the primary accounting resource, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient accounting operations, and well-documented processes that support business growth.

This is a highly autonomous, hands-on role for someone who thrives in lean environments, enjoys improving processes, and can confidently manage accounting operations with minimal oversight. The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning the month-end close, Accounts Payable, billing and payment-related activities, while helping transition accounting responsibilities from outsourced support to an internal function.

🗓️Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and support the CFO with financial reporting and controls.
• Manage the Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, approvals, corporate card transactions, and employee expense reimbursements.
• Support billing operations, payment applications, and resolution of customer payment issues.
• Lead the transition of accounting responsibilities from external accounting providers to an internal accounting function.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs and process documentation for all key accounting workflows.
• dentify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual work, and strengthen controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Collections, and Operations teams to improve workflows and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting best practices.

✅️Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting, preferably as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong experience owning or heavily participating in the month-end close process.
• Experience managing Accounts Payable processes.
• Advanced experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of critical accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining SOPs and process documentation.
