Overview

We are looking for an Account Manager with a strong accounting background to serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of customers using our accounting platform. This is not an accounting role —instead, the ideal candidate will leverage their accounting knowledge to help customers understand financial information, navigate the platform, and ensure they have an outstanding experience.

The Account Manager will build long-term relationships with clients, coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues, support onboarding and activation processes, and act as the trusted advisor for customers throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with an assigned portfolio of customers, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships while ensuring customer satisfaction and success.
  • Proactively check in with customers to ensure they are successfully adopting and utilizing the platform.
  • Answer customer questions and troubleshoot basic product or technical issues.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and deliver timely solutions.
  • Manage customer escalations and communicate updates effectively.
  • Support onboarding and activation processes by assisting Activation Coordinators with more complex customer needs.
  • Help customers understand financial information within the platform, including P&Ls, Balance Sheets, account coding, and accounting workflows.
  • Provide guidance on how the platform works while acting as a trusted advisor for customers.
  • Ensure customers receive an exceptional experience throughout their lifecycle.

Requirements

Must Have

  • 3–5 years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a similar client-facing role with accounting exposure .
  • Understanding of financial statements , including P&L, Balance Sheet, and accounting transactions .
  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems such as Xero, Sage, Intacct, NetSuite, Quickbooks or similar financial platforms .
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills (fluency is essential).
  • Strong customer-facing, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience handling customer inquiries, problem-solving, and de-escalating situations professionally.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software platforms.

Additional Information

Nice to Have

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online .
  • Previous experience in a SaaS, fintech, or accounting software company .
  • Experience supporting multi-location or franchise customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
