Job Title: Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper to support a multi-location medical aesthetics and wellness business. This role requires strong expertise in accrual accounting, month-end close processes, payroll coordination, multi-location accounting, and financial systems management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly communicative, capable of working independently in a remote environment, and comfortable collaborating with U.S.-based leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and semi-monthly book closing processes for multiple business locations.
• Handle payroll coordination using Gusto and When I Work, ensuring accurate reconciliation with QuickBooks Online.
• Categorize and reconcile expenses through Bill.com and QuickBooks Online.
• Process and manage sales tax and Colorado tax-related accounting requirements.
• Maintain accrual-based accounting records, including depreciation, prepaids, rent, and other standard accounting adjustments.
• Collaborate with leadership and the fractional CFO on accounting operations and reporting.
• Ensure timely communication and responsiveness through Slack during overlapping U.S. business hours.

Requirements

• +3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping experience in accrual-based accounting environments.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is required.
• Background in businesses involving both services and cost-of-goods accounting (e.g., retail, construction, wellness, medical aesthetics, etc.).
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with Zenoti is highly preferred.
• Experience handling multi-location businesses is preferred.
• Experience with Gusto, Bill.com, and When I Work is preferred.
• Experience in the medical aesthetics or wellness industry.
• Familiarity with multi-location membership-based business models.
• Previous experience working with U.S. clients or teams.

Additional Information Work-from-home setup with partial overlap required with U.S. Mountain Standard Time (MST). Preferred availability is approximately 6:00 AM–1:00 PM MST, with flexibility for occasional extended hours during urgent closing periods.
