We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client's team, working closely with our COO and two experienced attorneys to manage administrative tasks related to intellectual property and other legal matters. The role involves assisting in the management of trademarks and patents, coordinating with attorneys to facilitate legal processes and documentation, handling administrative duties such as managing emails and scheduling for the COO, conducting research and gathering information for legal procedures, maintaining an organized system for tracking legal documents and deadlines, and providing support in other operational tasks as required by the COO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of trademarks and patents, including maintaining records and ensuring timely renewals.
- Coordinate with attorneys to facilitate legal processes and documentation.
- Handle administrative duties, including managing emails and scheduling for the COO.
- Conduct research and gather information as needed for legal procedures.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking legal documents and deadlines.
- Provide support in other operational tasks as required by the COO.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with intellectual property and managing patents and trademarks.
- Legal background or education.
- Familiarity with Airtable or similar software.
