Senior Accountant

Position Overview:
Join our client’s dynamic team as a Senior Accountant and play an integral role in managing the financial health of their organization. In a startup environment, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities—from day-to-day accounting tasks to high-level financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounting operations including payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with established schedules.
- Implement and adhere to internal controls to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Work closely with their fractional CFO to provide high-level financial analysis and insights.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Use QuickBooks for various accounting processes, including invoicing, payment matching, and accrual management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and strong interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.

Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a startup environment.
- Experience with other accounting software applications.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
